After resuscitation is successful in the lab Karie is put in a coma and the ventilator is breathing for her in the ICU. Her heart has taken a huge amount of damage from the cardiac arrest and the Doctor must figure out what needs to be done. Once a vital check is complete Karies heart beats very slowly with no rhythm and she needs a cardioversion. The doctor gets the paddles on her and begins to jolt the heart, regaining some kind of rhythm. But soon after Karie has another major cardiac arrest and they must hurry to try and save her.
